Attorney Vincent Bugliosi: Bush Administration is guilty of murder under the law. There is more than enough evidence to convict them.
Today attorney Vincent Bugliosi made a series of statements at the United States House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary's hearing on "Executive Power and Its Constitutional Limitations," (a.k.a the meeting that isn't supposed to be called an "impeachment" hearing). Informed that he was forbidden by the rules of the house from accusing President Bush of a crime or even dishonorable conduct, Bugliosi still clearly makes the case that Bush (or, as he was forced to say, members of “the Bush administration”) is guilty of murder. A transcription of part of the (first) video clip found below: "In my book here The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder I present evidence that proves beyond all reasonable doubt that Bush administration officials took this nation to war in Iraq on a lie, under false pretenses, and therefore under the law they are guilty of murder for the deaths of over 4,000 young American soldiers who have died so far in Iraq fighting their war. And let's not forget the over 100,000 innocent Iraqi men, women, children and babies who have died horrible, violent deaths because of this war. I am fully aware that the charge I have just made is a very serious one, but let me say that in this stage in my career I don't have time for fanciful reveries. I never in a million years would propose a murder prosecution of Bush administration officials if I didn't believe that there was more than enough evidence to convict them, and that I was standing on strong legal ground."
Vincent Bugliosi on the case for prosecuting George W. Bush for Murder (morning of 25 July 2008):
In this second video clip (below), Bugliosi uses two pieces of physical evidence that incontrovertibly demonstrate that these lies were intentionally manufactured and distributed for the purpose of deceiving the Congress and the American people into going to war (that last bit is my expression of the case, not his). With the formerly classified National Intelligence Estimate dated 1 October 2002 in one hand, and the white paper given to Congress and shown to the American people in the other, it is easy to see that they simply DELETED information. They just took it out! They deleted the dissenting opinions, just deleted the "if"s, "and"s and "but"s; the intelligence they got did not support their claims, and they simply changed it so that it did.
We’ve been lied too. Thank you Vincent Bugliosi for standing up for the truth!
Vincent Bugliosi on Bush Administration Lies about Weapons of Mass Destruction (morning of 25 July 2008, a little later):
Bugliosi - "Whether Republican or Democrat, all Americans should be absolutely outraged over what the Bush administration has done. How dare they do what they did. How dare they!” [applause from the chamber]
PRESIDENT BUSH SHOULD BE IMPEACHED FOR HIGH CRIMES, and tried under the law for murder and more. If you are in agreement tell everyone you know, and those you don’t know, too. Now is not the time for fear as we are being told. It is the time for bravery. Let us all take Mr. Bugliosi as an example and be brave. We have nothing to live for but the present—the future depends on what each of us does now.
