Full Article: The Sri Lankan military says its troops have captured another key Tamil Tigers base in the Jaffna peninsula after intense overnight battles. The rebel-controlled town of Pallai on the edge of the Jaffna peninsula was reclaimed by troops advancing southwards from Muhamalai on Thursday morning, the Defense Ministry claimed in a statement. Air force jets pounded the rebels as they fled from Pallai and the Elephant Pass battlefields late Wednesday. The government forces are now heading towards Soranpattu, the next Tamil Tiger stronghold in the peninsula, the statement added. Following a decision by Sri Lanka to nullify a Norwegian-brokered ceasefire agreement penned in 2002 last year, Colombo began a fresh offensive against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, vowing a complete crack down on the rebels by the end of 2008. The militant Tamil movement has been fighting to create a sovereign socialist Tamil state in the north and east of Sri Lanka for the ethnic minority of Tamils since the late 1970s.

As the political capital of the LTTE's northern mini-state, Kilinochchi is where the rebels have hosted visiting foreign dignitaries and peace brokers. The Tigers, who are known for their suicide attacks, have put up only intermittent resistance to the military advancing on several fronts in the north of Sri Lanka... Fighting across the northern frontier on Sunday left at least 13 Tigers and two soldiers dead, the defence ministry said Monday. Since the Colombo government formally revoked a moribund truce in January, 7,196 Tigers have been killed, according to the military, which places its own losses at 704 soldiers. Zeitgeist the movie, released in 2007, is among my absolute favorite DE-PROPAGANDIZING films. By "de-propagandizing" I mean that it aids in the process of un-educating (releasing one's mind from the control of propaganda) and re-educating (aiming towards real knowledge) oneself. It breaks down myths, and provides real facts that you, if your education was anything like mine, never even heard of in school. The aim is to clean one's slate and start anew. I, at one time, thought I was quite smart--full of facts that I memorized from teachers and textbooks; that was NOT true knowledge, and if anything it was a hindrance to my real "higher learning." What do Christianity, 9/11, and international bankers have in common? Watch and see...

ZEITGEIST the Movie, Final Cut (~122 min.):

This second film from the same maker, Zeitgeist: Addendum, released about a week ago, goes even further into the maze of our present Zeitgeist, the spirit of our times, revealing even more about the insipid monetary system which is, along with physical violence, at the basis of the oppression of humanity. The film then goes onto propose several alternative ways in which we might BE in this world.

I am a great advocate of the original Zeitgeist film embedded above, however I do have significant reservations about this second one. In particular, it advocates a society based upon the implantation of highly technological, global system--what they call a resource-based economy. The maker, I believe, clearly intends and hopes that such a society would be egalitarian in every sense of the word, but I am concerned that such a society might inherently be or become just another class system, a new world order "technocracy" as Alex Jones calls it, wherein only a few have such access to higher technology, and where the rest of us would be left out, or even killed due to "uselessness."

Nonetheless, I definitely still recommend watching this second film (AFTER watching the first), just as I advocate the watching of many films with which I do not completely agree with. It is certainly food for the thought, and diverse thinking is exactly what this world needs now. This film certainly gets outside the box of propaganda-driven thinking... So enjoy, but as always, keep thinking critically! Individuals thinking freely, rigorously, and highly skeptically, and then ACTING is the answer.

At the not-so-far end of the religious spectrum in this country we find many people such as documentarian, Anthony Hilder, who created this film. As I discern it, he is a fundamentalist Christian, a literalist when it comes to the interpretation of the biblical book Revelations. In this film he interprets the world-impacting catastrophes taking place today with that revelatory framework, i.e. that what is taking place now was prophesied in Revelations.

As I hope is clear to any reader of this blog, I am not a Christian nor an adherent to any other religion. Furthermore I am what is often described as an atheist; I do not "believe" in any God or god-like entity, nor do I think it is relevant to discuss any sort of meta-physics, which are all, by definition, beyond this world of my experience. Experience, also by definition, comprises all that is real, and therefore experience is all that is relevant to discuss.

I post this video here not in any way to advocate its religious positions, but in spite of them. I could care less whether or not Skull & Bones members, or members of other "elite" groups that are part of the governing corporate class, worship Lucifer or are Satanists, etc... It matters not what they believe, but rather what they do. They are the starters of many wars and the agents of mass oppressions, and are therefore mass killers.

What this documentary does very well, and why I recommend it here, is show the parallels and connections between Hitler's Third Reich and the American Empire, now a corporate-fascist state, that the so-called leaders of this nation are pressing onwards as I write now. This film shows very well how tyrannical governments are formed in historical terms, and why free human beings acquiesce themselves to those governments. It also features commentary from many persons whom deserve respect for speaking up against this tyranny, both religious and non-religious persons.

So with the caveat of religious material, which I encourage you to ignore, I give my recommendation to this film as a good tool for understanding what is the agenda of the American Empire.

We MUST fight this now. Let us not be passive. Let us not be silent. Let us speak loudly and clearly that tyranny will not be tolerated by the peoples of this world. "Never again..."

In this special report journalist John Pilger does a case study in globalization by closely examining the economic and military enslavement of the Indonesian population via the actions and policies of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Word Bank, and World Trade Organization (WTO). On 9 September 2007 in Brussels hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets demanding new investigation of 9/11, and to say NO to the broader project of so many of the world's elites: global governance. This short video compiles on-the-street interviews with a variety of demonstrators from all around Europe, all of whom are well-spoken and make great points as to why we must take action now. One demonstrator in particular identified himself as having lived in the US for 30 years; I found his insights particularly compelling. An excellent watch. Given the incredibly staged appearance of almost all politicians when they're on TV, I would bet many people have already imagined what they will be witness to in this video. But, thanks to Brian Singer's mass recording of network satellite feeds in the early '90s, if there is any doubt about the intense "spinning" of political media, the proof is in this film. Watch and be disgusted as politicians primp and preen themselves, both in appearances and in words, and become even more confident that there is absolutely NOTHING SPECIAL about these corrupt "leaders," other than their intense desire for control and power over other beings.

Additionally, this documentary was made in 1995, and we all know media "spinning" has become far worse since then... This film goes beyond the basic question of, "Is the official story about 9/11 true?" (of course, it is NOT), delving into the histories of many involved persons and groups from the front lines, the "alleged hijackers," to the men behind the curtain whether they be politicians, intelligence agents (particularly CIA agents), military commanders or war-profiteering businessmen. This documentary film provides an inside look at European Union (EU), both in its legislative and bureaucratic functioning. Inside in the sense that it was created by an Irish citizen, or rather by the group We Are Change Ireland; and also inside in the sense that it contains a great variety of footage of interviews with, and speeches by, EU bureaucrats, and of other relevant meetings both in and outside the official structure of the EU. This is especially relevant information for those have a keen eye turned towards developments in the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) among the USA, Canda and Mexico, whose proponents appear to ultimately be seeking the formation of a North American Union (NAU) very similar in structure to the EU. (The SPP already has "ministers"--check into it!)

If you're looking for a shorter video, I heartily recommend watching this short segment (just the last 6 minutes of the film) which contains, Nigel Farage's great and rousing speech regarding the Lisbon Treaty and the rights of the free peoples of Europe to maintain the sovereignty of their nations. The "research team" over here brought this interview to my attention several months ago, and we were astounded by its uncanny description of what is happening in the United States right now--this despite the fact that the interview took place in 1984, and that the interviewee's primary historical point of reference for his predictions and theories is the USSR. It's such a compelling and clear piece that we found ourselves referring to it again and again in conversation, and I imagine you will too... it is wealth worth watching the entire piece if you can take the time. In the mean time we lost the interview to depths of the internet, but it was dug out once again for our own, and we hope your, reference.

In addition to providing a fascinating and personal witness to Soviet espionage in Cold War years, in this interview the now-defected former KBG agent Yuri Bezmenov provides us with his understanding of the Soviet (and Corporate / Fascist, as it applies to our nation) tactic of "Ideological Subversion."

He breaks down the process of "Ideological Subversion" down in four stages, which may be summarized and contextualized with current day events as follows (but please DO watch him, he's ON, and I can certainly say it no better) :

1) Demoralization - According to Bezmenov, this stage requires at least 15-20 years, the time it takes to educate a generation into ignorance and passivity. The result is most simply put as a fat, lazy citizenry.

2) Destabilization - According to Bezmenov, this stage requires 2-5 years. It follows the successful demoralization of the majority of the populace, and is characterized by a focus on the creation of imminent crises in the most critical realms such Economy, Foreign Relations, and Defense Systems. I think, according to Bezmenov's stages, that the USA is nearing the end of this stage now. Furthermore, it appears this period began on 11 September 2001 when, what we will soon see as a "minor 'Crisis'" took place, launching the final collapse of the already-corrupt Republic.

3) Crisis - According to Bezmenov, this stage/event(s) requires a very brief period, just a few weeks. He says this stage happens very fast, and is characterized by cataclysmic event(s), which enable and spur the government on to institute total tyranny, including martial law, and which causes much of the population to decide to accept that tyranny because of their fear. As the news stories reported here and on many other sites have recently focused on, I see numerous possibilities for this in the USA today: Total "hot" war, b.k.a. World War III (WW III); War with Russia; War with Iran; Nuclear obliteration of large portions of the human population; Total collapse of currency systems including the dollar; Extreme revocation of citizen property ownership through foreclosure and severe property devaluation; and, lastly but not finally, a Slower but just as Significant strangulation of large portions of the human population through regulation of food and water intake, and property rights. All of these possibilities are coming to fruition everyday, and that is why I said above that I believe we are coming to the end of a "Destabilization" period and heading for more "Crisis" and ultimately, tyranny... if we don't stop it!

4) Normalization - According to Bezmenov, this is a period of indefinite length. It is the period of tyrannical reign and slavery that we can all expect if we do not act now (and get some help from the rest of the world).

Another great documentary on the truth about 9/11 (or perhaps rather the LIES about it)--it was nothing less than the culminating act of a coup d’état for a regime with both national and international ambitions, as seen and felt in this British-made documentary. Full of evidence, and appropriately and artfully cut with scenes from the film 1984, I highly recommend this documentary to anyone wanting to know more about, or share, what really did and did not, happen on 11 September 2001.

Outstanding video showcasing interviews with former major news media producers and journalists, as well as academics and politicians, discussing the takeover of the media by corporate conglomerates and wealthy political interest groups. From 2003, but still extremely apropos (because things are even much worse now). Some of the interviewees include:

I'm a particular fan of investigative reporter Charles Lewis who, after working in network media for 11 years at ABC and CBS, says he quit because of everything being simplifed down to "good guys and bad guys," because of the whole "infotainment" thing. He didn't want anyone telling him what to investigate or how to investigate it (or for how long), and he did something about it. He QUIT the no doubt "comfortable" network media job that he had and started The Center for Public Integrity. As he says in this, given everything that is going on, we should all be "marching in the streets."

If you don't see that much propaganda in what you're seeing on TV, or you just can't believe that journalists could be lying to us this way, could have let down the American people this way, please watch this video and reconsider that opinion. It may help open your eyes to the mis- and dis-information that constitues the bulk of the megacorporation's broadcasting. This video is a broad overview of opinions, but is also filled with specific examples such as analysis of the reporting on Iran contra, 2000 election vote counting, Enron, the Carlyle Group, and of course, September 11, 2001. A great introduction to the MEDIA TAKEOVER that has taken place in the US, for those who have managed to miss it.
